Orval E. Beerbower

Beerbower Rites Thursday

Funeral services were held Thursday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset for Orval E. Beerbower, whose death had occurred Tuesday, March 6, at Memorial hospital here.

The Rev. H. E. Borum, pastor of the First Baptist church of Winterset, conducted the services. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mr. Beerbower was 73 years of age at his death. He was a native of Norwalk, where he was born April 30, 1899, a son of Harlan W. and Etta McMichael Beerbower. However, most of his life was spent in Winterset.

He was employed as a mechanic and engineer at the Winterset light plant over a long period of years.

He was a member of the First Baptist church here, and of the Modern Woodmen of America.

Mr. Beerbower was married to Margaret Gordon of Winterset on Dec. 11, 1920.

Surviving are his wife; a son, James W. Beerbower of Omaha; and a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Scoles of Winterset. He also leaves four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Edith Parkins of Van Meter.
