BILL FARLOW, Winterset
Funeral services for Bill Farlow, 69, were held Tues., Aug. 18 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Winterset with Pastor Lisa Klein officiating. Mr. Farlow died on August 14, 1992 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.
A lifetime resident of Winterset, he was born on May 31, 1923 to Ralph and Edith (Burke) Farlow. He married Kathryn Gordon on April 29, 1949 in Bethany, Mo. He was a WWII veteran, serving with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a former nursing home owner and operator, and a member of the V.F.W. and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Surviving relatives are one son, Frank W. Farlow of Winterset; one daughter, Martha Farlow Knapp of Quartz Hill, Calif.; one brother, Jack Farlow of Winterset; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
