Lynn Schirm, Winterset
Raymond Lynn Schirm, 56, of Winterset died of cardiac failure Jan. 10, 2004 at his home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
Lynn Schirm was born Sept. 20, 1947, in Des Moines to Raymond Ellsworth and Mildred Louise (Butler) Schirm. Lynn had traveled a number of years with a carnival. He later worked with Clancey's Catering on movie locations across the United States. While catering, he also was a chauffeur. He later worked as a security guard. He made Winterset his lifetime residence.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Alfred and Blanche Schirm and Charlie and Bronna Gordon.
He is survived by a daughter, Jody Schirm of Ankeny; his mother, Mildred Schirm of Winterset; two sisters, Linda Wise and Debbie McKeever, both of Winterset.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Middle River Hospice.
