MILDRED SCHIRM, Winterset
Mildred Louise Schirm, 83, of Winterset died Aug. 16, 2006, at Winterset Care Center South.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 19, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Rich Koster officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
Mildred Schirm was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Cainsville, Mo., to Charles B. and Bronna Blanche (Hart) Gordon and was a 1941 graduate of Winterset High School. On Dec. 5, 1943, she married Raymond Ellsworth Schirm in Princeton, Mo. Mildred, a homemaker, had been a resident of Winterset for the past 72 years. She was a member of The Golden Girls.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, R. Lynn Schirm.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Wise and Deborah McKeever, both of Winterset; two brothers, Forrest “Bud” Butler of New Jersey and Charles O. Gordon of Winterset; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Middle River Hospice or Winterset Care Center South Activity Fund.
