Esther Mount, Winterset
Esther L. Mount, 83, of Winterset, died of a stroke Feb. 8, 1997 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be today Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset. Pastor Steve Koch will officiate the services and burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.
She was born in Adair on April 3, 1913 to William F. and Anna Marie (Krumm) Sachau. She married Max L. "Pete" Mount on March 6, 1938 at Dexter. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Madison County for the past 58 years. She was a member of the Lakeview Country Club and the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; and one sister.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Marilyn Alice Mount of Winterset; and one sister, Ada Gordon of Winterset.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
