Callery - Evans Wedding
Pastor Morrow was the pastor that married Ivan and Lauretta Evans.

The marriage of Miss Lauretta Callery, of this city and Private First Class Ivan R. Evans, of Company B 133rd infantry, which was solemenized Jan. 19 at Bethany, Mo. is being announced today.
The bride is the niece of Miss Atta Ely, of this city and the bridegroom is the son of Lyle O. Evans of Winterset.
The Rev. Cecil Morrow, pastor of the First Christian church officiated the single ring ceremony. The couple was unattended.
The bride wore a blue suit with navy accessories and her mother's gold bracelet, her grandmother's gold pin and pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. She also wore a corsage of gardenias.
The bridgroom was dressd in the uniform of the United States Army.
They returned to Des Moines where they met the bride's brother Charles, and the group had dinner at Hotel Chamberlain. They stayed in Des Moines until Saturday, when Private Evans left for Fort Dix, N.J. on a troop train.
