Samuel Shrewsbury was born 1736 in Hanover County, VA and died 2 April
Bedford County, VA. His brother, Nathaniel Shrewsbury, was born 1739 in
Hanover County, Virginia and died 1825 in 1825 in Wayne County, Kentucky.
When they moved to Bedford County, VA in 1766, they were pastors of the
Goose Creek Church (later took the name Morgans). They both fought in the
Revolutionary War.

Dabney, daughter of Geoge Dabney of Hanover County, VA

Benjamin Turner
2. Dabney Shrewsbury who was married 9 October 1786 Bedford County, VA to
Elizabeth Sinclair, duaghter of Isaac Sinclair.
3. Nathan Shrewsbury who married Nancy Hancock, daughter of Edward Hancock.
4. Sanuel Shrewsbury Junior who was married 11 Dec 1785 Bath Co, VA to Mary
(Polly) Dickinson, daughter of Col. John Dickinson.
5. John Shrewsbury who was married to Martha Usher Dickinson, daughter of
Col. John Dickinson.
6. Ruel Shrewsbury never married and died Dec 1801 in Bedford co, VA. Per Inv.
7. Simeon Shrewsbury
8 William Shrewsbury who was married 23 Dec 1799 Bedford County, VA to Rhoda
Pate.
9 Joel Shrewsbury who was married 27 Jan 1803 Bedford County, VA to Sarah
(Sally) Dickinson, daughter of Col. John Dickinson.
10. Rhoda Shrewsbury who was married to 28 dec 1786 Bedford County VA John
Buford.
11. Nanthaniel Shrewsbury who was married to Nancy Boards, daughter of James
Boards and Mary Ferguson.
