Nancy Shrewsbury and Stephen Gowin

Looking for information on Nancy Shrewsbury, daughter of Allen and Nancy Shrewsbury of Madison and Washington Counties, Kentucky. In court records for Hendricks County, Indiana, three children of Stephen Gowin sought guardianship for their interest in the estates of their grandparents, Allen and Nancy Shrewsbury, and for (relationship not listed) Abel Shrewsbury.

Also, in "Garrard County KY Marriage Records 1797-1853" is an entry for Stephen Goin and Nancy Shrewsbury, bond 25 Feb. 1817, returned 27 Feb. 1817, Nathaniel Shrewsbury bondsman, Joseph R. Pond, minister.

"My" Stephen Gowin's first wife was named Nancy, and these court records would lead one to believe she was Nancy Shrewsbury, daughter of Allen and Nancy. Would like other evidence to help confirm or refute this. Thanks!

I don't usually check the Shrewsbury forum. I am a desc of Allen & Nancy (Wheeler) Shrewsbury through their son, Drury. Your Nancy Shrewsbury was a daughter of Allen & Nancy (Wheeler) Shrewsbury. The only thing I have on Nancy is that she married Stephen Goin, 27 Feb 1817 Garrard Co KY. and that she died before 1846. One of the older Shrewsburys died and there are many court records showing the relationships. I'll have to dig out the records for you.
Incidentally, some of the Wheelers also went to Hendricks Co.
