LILLIAN E. ALLEN DIES AT 53 YEARS

Death at Memorial Hospital After Several Years Failing Health

Mrs. Wayne Allen of Walnut township died at Memorial hospital in Winterset last Wednesday, March 8. She was 53 years of age, and had been in failing health for the last several years.

Mrs. Allen was a life-long resident of Madison county. She was the former Lillian E. Dorrell, daughter of G. S. and Bertha Gordon Dorrell, and was born in this county Aug. 29, 1907.

She was married to Wayne Allen on June 12, 1927.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Bobbie Allen of Greenfield; a grandson, Randall Allen of Greenfield; her father, G. S. Dorrell of Winterset; five brothers, Warren, Nicholas, Billie and Ronald Dorrell, all of Winterset, and Woodrow Dorrell of Denver, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. George Bradshaw of Newton and Mrs. Robert O'Neil of Brea, Calif.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church, assisted by the Rev. Phoebe Woerner. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
