Grandfather attended the funeral of James Polk Latta a Representative from NE

and Miss Powell, of Omaha; Ed Callery and P. T. Flynn, sons-in-
law of the late John Latta, of Duncomb, Iowa; J. B. and H. A. Gar-
land, of Cranston, Iowa; Mrs. Bectol and Mrs. Goza, of Tama,
Iowa; Dr. N. P. Hansen, of Elk Creek, Nebr.
Birth: Oct. 31, 1844
Death: Sep. 11, 1911
US Congressman. Elected to represent Nebraska's 3rd District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1909 until his death in 1911. Also served as a Member of the Nebraska State House of Representatives in 1887, and Member of the Nebraska State Senate in 1907.
