Mrs. Beverly A. Knight, 224 Selye Terrace, Rochester, widow of Robert C. Knight, is the mother of a daughter. Kristen Lacey, born Friday at Genesee Hospital, Rochester. Mr. Knight a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold E. Knight, 653 Thompson St., died July 17 in Rochester of injuries suffered in a motorcycle-truck accident.

Police Still Probe Crash
The Rochester Police Department is continuing its investigation into the motorcycle-truck accident Monday afternoon which took the life of Robert C. Knight, 26, of Rochester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold E. Knight, 653 Thompson St. Charges have not “as yet” been made against Robert C. Schulze, 37, Webster, operator of the dump truck which allegedly struck the motorcycle being operated by the late Mr. Knight. Witnesses were being questioned by a Rochester Assistant District Attorney this morning with additional witnesses scheduled for questioning. A police department spokesman said there had been reports that there was “discrepancy” in testimonies of witnesses.

Ex-City Man Killed When Hit by Truck
Robert C. Knight, 26, of 224 Selye Terrance, Rochester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold E. Knight, 653 Thompson St., died Monday afternoon in St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, of injuries sustained in a motorcycle-truck accident at 2:25 p.m. Monday in Rochester. Mr. Knight, operating a motorcycle, had stopped for a traffic light in front of 1040 Mont Read Blvd., Rochester. When the light changed and he proceeded into the intersection, he was struck from behind by a 1972 dump truck owned by the Hoff Brothers Refuse Corp., Rochester and operated by Robert C. Schulze, 37, of 704 Salt Road, Webster, according to Rochester Police. The right front of the truck struck the motorcycle, police said. Mr. Knight was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with internal bleeding and fractures, according to police reports. He died 40 minutes after admission. An autopsy was to be performed this morning. His survived by his widow, Mrs. Beverly A. Knight; two daughters, Laurie Ann, 3, and Michelle Lynn, 1 ½; his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Arnold E. Knight, 653 Thompson St.; and three brothers, James E., Chittenago; Brian s., serving with the U. S. Army, Currently on leave prior t assignment to Okinawa; and Richard D., at home. His wife is expecting the couples third child in August. Born in Watertown, Feb. 11, 1946, the son of Arnold E. Knight and Marion Sterling Knight, he attended local schools and was graduated from Watertown High School in 1964. Receiving a bachelor’s degree in 1968 from Brockport State University College, he had since been employed as a sixth grade teacher at Autumn Lane School, Greece N.Y. He married Miss Beverly J. Ashley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence H. Ashley, Rochester, formerly of Watertown, Oct.7, 1967, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Rochester. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Reed and Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas J. Carlisle, pastor, Stone Street Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
